Project Management – Opportunities

If you are using the full RapidStart CRM App, you will see some additions to the Opportunity form.

Opportunity Record Form

(1) A New “🚀 Quick Steps” Button has been added to “Add Project”, this will convert the Opportunity into a Project (It is not necessary to mark the Opportunity as “Won”)

This will bring in the Project Quick Form

(1) The “🛠️ Project Name” will be defaulted to the Opportunity name, but you can edit it.
(2) You can select “📌 From Template?” to create a Project from a Template (See “Project Templates” in the documentation)
(3) The “📋 Project Description” will be defaulted to the Opportunity description, but you can edit it.
(4) Select a “⚙️ Project Type” and “⚙️ Project Category” (both Optional)
(5) Select “📅 Start Date” and “📅 Dead Line” (Required, but can be changed later)
(6) “Save and Close”

After Conversion

(1) After conversion the Opportunity status is changed to Inactive

(2) The opportunity is marked as Won

(3) The created “🛠️ Project” is also added to the Opportunity record for reference, clicking it will take you to the Project record. (See “Projects” in the documentation)

Note: This Project will also now be visible in the RapidStart CRM Project app.

New View

To see all Opportunities that have Projects

(1) Select Opportunities in the sidebar

(2) Select “All Opportunities with Projects” from the view selector
